Author Kelly Fischer Releases Lillypad
Some children have pet dogs. Some have pet cats. Some even have pet frogs.
Jeremy has a pet plant, and her name is Lillypad.
So begins the story of Lillypad (ISBN: 9780984077335), author Kelly Fischer's fifth children's book. Through his relationship with Lillypad, Jeremy learns all about the fun of friendship, the importance of taking care of your loved ones, andthrough a regular game the two play togetherthe value of stillness.
Lillypad once again teams Fischer's poetic prose and magical storytelling with Memphis illustrator Michelle Duckworth, who has illustrated all four of Fischer's previous books.
Fischer is a Montessori teacher in Bern Switzerland, where she ran her own school for 17 years. Her previous books include: Santa Delivers Presents in the Big City, Polly Poplar Plays Dress Up, The Moon Throws a Birthday Party, and The Most Beautiful Color of All, which was a finalist in the Children's Picture Book category for the 2009 Indie Book Awards. Happy New Year, With a New Amazon.com Distribution Option
A new distribution-related option is now available for authors whose books are published through Two Peas Publishing.
When you publish through Two Peas, your book is already automatically listed at Amazon.com and other online retailers. As of January 2010, you may now optionally add the Amazon.com "Search Inside This Book" feature to your title as well.
Amazon.com contends that books listed with the "Search Inside This Book" feature enabled sell better than books that do not allow searching. "Search Inside This Book" allows Amazon customers to browse a portion of the book's contents, much the way a brick-and-mortar bookstore customer will flip through the pages of a book in the store to determine whether that book is right for him or her.
More information about new distribution options from Two Peas Publishing is coming soon.

Author Kathleen Doyle Smith Releases New Childrens Book
Daniel's Question (ISBN: 978-0984077328) is a true story in which Daniel, an inquisitive three-year-old, asks his mother, "Did you like being a kid?"
Daniel thinks it would be fun if his mother were his best friend rather than a grown-up. He tells her all the good times they could have if they were about the same age, such as playing in the fort, going swimming, and catching fireflies.
Mom, however, points out everything they would miss if she were not his mother.
Daniel's Question, written by Kathleen Doyle Smith and illustrated by Bobby Dawson, is published by Two Peas Publishing and available for purchase by booksellers at twopeaspublishing.com. It is available for retail purchase at Amazon.com.

Children's Author Kelly Fischer Releases New Christmas Book
How does he deliver all those presents? That's the question on the lips of every child who ever anticipated the annual arrival Santa Claus. Thanks to children's author and part time Tennessee resident Kelly Fischer, now we know.
Fischer's latest book, Santa Delivers Presents in the Big City (ISBN: 978-0984077304), tells the story of Santa's mighty struggle to deliver presents to all the deserving children in a vast metropolis. Not only must the Jolly Old Elf contend with the skyscrapers and all the nooks and crannies of a big-time city, but he also must determine what's ailing his lead reindeer Hailey, who seems to be putting on weight and is uncharacteristically sleepy.
"During the Christmas season I traveled to Paris and Chicago with my children, and I realized I'd really like to write a Christmas story," Fischer says of the inspiration for her newest book. "Between all of the incredible architecture in Paris, the towering skyscrapers in Chicago, and the holiday spirit in the air, I wondered how Santa could possibly deliver presents to such places.
"My purpose behind the story was simply to write an entertaining tale for children to enjoy," she adds.
Santa Delivers Presents in the Big City is Fischer's fourth children's book. Teamed once again with Memphis illustrator Michelle Duckworth, Fischer brings to life in vivid detail Santa's trip through the Big City, as well as his struggle to get all the presents delivered to the children there in spite of his lead reindeer's condition.
Fischer is a Montessori teacher in Bern Switzerland, where she ran her own school for 17 years. Her previous books include: Polly Poplar Plays Dress Up, The Moon Throws a Birthday Party, and The Most Beautiful Color of All, which was a finalist in the Children's Picture Book category for the 2009 Indie Book Awards. Her website is ktf-writer-studio.ch.
Duckworth is a graduate of the Memphis College of Art. Her blog is online at whatisaduckworth.blogspot.com.

Middle Tennessee Man Launches Planet Christmas magazine
Two Peas is proud to announce our involvement in the production of Middle Tennessee resident Chuck Smith's new Christmas display magazine.
Smith launched the new Planet Christmas magazine to, in his words, "help you create great Christmas displays." Two Peas Publishing provided design and production services for Smith during the evolution of his magazine from concept to reality.
Planet Christmas grew out of Smith's own experiments with Christmas lights and the "brain" of a coffee maker in 1973 (read about that here: http://www.planetchristmas.com/History.htm). Years later, his experiments blossomed into a full-blown enthusiast culture.
The first issue of Planet Christmas is available online: planetchristmas.epubexpress.com
